Thrival Kit: REWILD

Energize. Nourish. Awaken.

Our FREE Thrival Kit to uplevel with family and friends this month.

For most of human history, we lived in direct relationship with the natural world. We woke with the sun, moved with the seasons, knew the feeling of rain on our skin and earth beneath our feet. Nature wasn't somewhere we visited; it was where we belonged.

Then, slowly, the story changed.

As humanity became more urbanized and industrialized, we gained comfort, convenience, and unprecedented access to information. Yet in many ways, we drifted further from our wild nature. Surrounded by walls, screens, schedules, and artificial environments, we began to lose touch with the rhythms that had guided us for thousands of years.

Somewhere along the way, we forgot the medicine nature gifts us: stepping outside at sunrise, feeling fresh air fill our lungs, letting our bare feet meet the ground, standing still long enough to hear birdsong or feel the rain. These are not luxuries. They are reminders. They reconnect us to something ancient, instinctive, and deeply human.

In the absence of that connection, many of us learned to seek safety elsewhere. We built lives around routines, identities, belief systems, achievements, and the carefully constructed protections that help us feel secure. While these structures can serve us, they can also distance us from our innate resilience—the part of us that knows how to adapt, trust, and belong.

The natural world invites us back into relationship with that forgotten part of ourselves. It reminds us that we are not separate from the Earth, but an expression of it. When we reconnect with nature, we reconnect with our own vitality, resilience, and sense of belonging. We remember that beneath the roles we play and the stories we carry, there is something wild, wise, and wonderfully alive within us.

What if our disconnection from nature is causing much of our dis-ease, our loneliness, and our anxiety within ourselves and within humanity (including our children)? Think about how much we have disconnected from nature in the last 50 years, and how much chronic disease and emotional unrest have inundated our society in that time. When we disconnect from our Mother Earth, it directly affects every aspect of our well-being.

Why? The same intelligence that grows forests, moves rivers, and guides migrating birds lives inside of us, too. Our breath follows rhythms. Our nervous system responds to light, sound, movement, and touch. Our bodies are designed to regulate through connection with the natural world.

And yet, modern life has pulled many of us away from this relationship. We spend more time indoors, disconnected from sunlight, soil, fresh air, movement, and community. Many people feel anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, inflamed, lonely, and untethered.

Research around the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku — also known as “forest bathing” — has shown that spending intentional time in nature can reduce stress hormones like cortisol, lower anxiety and depression, improve sleep, regulate blood pressure, strengthen immune function, improve mood, and support nervous system regulation.

Can we get a HELLZ YES to that? It is so simple yet profound.

This month it is time to REWILD. Are you in?

Nature literally helps our bodies shift from survival mode into THRIVAL mode and into restoration. We have a REWILD Thrival Kit just for you here.

Rewilding allows you to breathe more deeply, to open to broader perspectives by reconnecting with awe, wonder, curiosity, and beauty.

It’s time to rewild our HUMAN Nature…

THIS MONTH’S REWILDING PRACTICES

1. EARTHING

Barefoot on the Earth

Take off your shoes and place your bare feet directly on the Earth for at least 10–20 minutes. Grass, dirt, sand, stone — let your body reconnect with the natural frequencies of the planet.

As you stand, walk barefoot, or sit, perhaps with your back against a tree. Slow your breath and simply notice what you feel. Stay present and take in the rewilding of Nature.

Benefits (especially doing this daily)  include:

  • Reduced stress and anxiety

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Increased presence and grounding

  • Better sleep and energy

  • Feeling connected and supported

2.SHAKE IT OUT

Move your body and release stored energy with our SHAKE IT OUT playlist

Animals naturally shake after stress or activation; humans are designed to do this too.

Put on a song that moves you and begin shaking your hands, arms, legs, hips, shoulders, and whole body. Let it be messy. Free. Wild.

Shake out the pressure.
Shake out the noise.
Shake out the stuck energy.

Then pause.
Stand still.
Notice how alive your body feels afterward.

This simple practice can help regulate your nervous system, release tension, increase circulation, and reconnect you to your body’s innate wisdom.

3. BEAUTY HUNTING

Train Your Nervous System to See Nature

(you can combine this with barefoot grounding too)

One of the greatest consequences of stress is that your awareness narrows. We stop noticing beauty. We forget how to be in wonder. We lose connection.

This month, practice going on a “Beauty Hunt.”

Walk slowly outside and intentionally look for beauty all around you.

  • The colors in the sky.

  • The texture of a leaf.

  • A birdsong.

  • Light moving through trees.

  • A flower growing through concrete.

Pause to connect to it and FEEL it.

Beauty is medicine.
Wonder is medicine.
Connection is medicine.

This practice helps shift the nervous system out of fight-or-flight and back into connection, openness, and gratitude.
